The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute (EBI) hosted an event to celebrate “”The International Day for Biological Diversity in 2024”. The event’s motto, ‘Be Part of the Plan,’ emphasized the urgent need for action by all stakeholders to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.

Pelum Ethiopia in collaboration with HUMUNDI and four micro-finances( wesasa, harbu, busa gonofa etc) visited agroecological based farmers in Huruta, Lude hitosa woreda.

 A one-day consultative workshop titled ‘The Need for Sustainable and Inclusive Enset Production in Ethiopia: Challenges, Opportunities, and Collaborative Strategies’ was held on February 26, 2024, at the Panorama Hotel in Addis Ababa. The primary objective of this workshop was to address existing challenges and create an enabling environment for Enset, a strategic food crop in Ethiopia.
